Who it's for

For the founder at the very start — wherever 'start' is for you.

We gate by stage and commitment, never by status, revenue, or how good your idea sounds. If you've committed to building something and you haven't landed yet, you belong here.

Sound like you?

Three founders, one shared moment in the air.

Just made the leap

You quit. Now what?

You handed in your notice and watched your old life close behind you. The savings clock is ticking. Some mornings the freedom feels like flying; some mornings it feels like falling. You need structure, nerve, and people who jumped too.

Building in stolen hours

Still employed. Still building.

Before work, after work, all weekend — you're interviewing customers and shipping prototypes in the cracks of your calendar. The side project feels more alive than the day job. You're waiting for the signal, and the permission, to leap.

No idea yet — that's allowed

You don't have the idea yet.

You know you want to build something. You just haven't found the what. Everyone seems to have arrived with a fully-formed startup, and you feel like a fraud for showing up with a blank page. You don't need a pitch. You need a room and a running start.

The one we mean most

“I don’t have an idea yet” is a valid starting line — not a disqualifier.

Most communities make the idea-less explorer feel fraudulent. We do the opposite. You don’t need a pitch to belong — you need a room, a running start, and people figuring it out alongside you. Plenty of great companies began as a blank page and a brave decision to start anyway.

Honestly, who it's not for

We'd rather be the right room for some than a vague room for everyone.

Being clear about who we're not for is how we keep the circles real for the people we are for.

You're past product-market-fit.

If you've got real revenue and a team to lead, your loneliness is a different kind. That's literally what Hampton is for — and we'll happily point you there.

You're here to raise or to network.

This is a support circle, not a deal-flow channel. No pitching, no working the room for intros. If that's the goal, this isn't the place.

You want a 10,000-person Slack.

We're small and in person on purpose. If you want scale and a content library, YC Startup School is free and excellent.

Founding cohort, forming now

If that's you, you've found your people.

Applying is free and takes five minutes. No pitch deck, no traction required — just where you are right now.
